Ms. Viviana Weiss is a PhD candidate at the Computer Vision and Multimedia Laboratory (CVML) of the University of Geneva since May 2012. Her main research interests are focused on Human Computer Interaction and Affective computing. She attended The “Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniera, Julio Garavito” (ECI), where she majored - cum laude - in Computer Science & Electronic Engineering. She also holds a Master in Biomedical Information Engineering (BIE) of the Telecom Bretagne - France, where she developed R&D projects in the field of Biomedical Image processing. She also worked at Roche Diagnostic, managing high-tech laboratory equipment for medical diagnosis. She had complementary formation in computer vision and machine learning at the ENS/INRIA institute Grenoble (France) and Human Computer Interaction at the INRIA Institute Sophia Antipolis (France).
